Icron's Latest KVM Extenders - The EL5353 and the EL5363

Icron’s EL5100 and EL5200 KVM extenders have now entered the End of Life (EOL) process and will be replaced by the EL5353 and EL5363 respectively. While the new products keep the same form factor of the previous extenders, the EL5353 and EL5363 benefit from Icron’s latest and most robust HD video and USB extension technology.

The EL5353 is a DVI extender, while the EL5363 is an HDMI extender. Both of them are able to extend uncompressed HD video, audio and USB 2.0 connections up to 100 metres over a single CAT 5e (or better) cabling. The new KVM extenders both feature Icron’s patented ExtremeUSB® technology. This means the extender has true plug-and-play compatibility without the need for any software drivers. They both deliver transparent USB connections and work with all major operating systems (Windows, OS X, Linux).

With an improved design, the new models gain enhancements in performance and capabilities. Unlike the previous extenders, the EL5353 and EL5363 supply increased 40Mbps throughput speeds at each USB port. In addition, the EL5353 and EL5363 KVM extenders are now able to support USB audio peripherals such as microphones and speakers – which allows for greater flexibility in applications. Furthermore, the KVM extenders are suitable for a range of applications such as proAV, interactive digital signage, security, medical and industrial applications.
