Can your USB extenders operate through a standard Ethernet hub, switch, or router?

The USB 2.0 Ranger® 2301GE-LAN & 2304GE-LAN can extend USB through an Ethernet hub or switch (i.e. extend through the same local area network).

Unfortunately. none of our extenders is capable of extending USB through a router (i.e. extend from one network to another).

Our USB 1.1 Rover series and USB 2.0 Ranger 2200 series are unable to be connected via Ethernet and will not operate through hubs, switches, or routers.

The table below will give you an overview of what products can use only point-to-point and which can be extended over LAN.
